Israel abuses Gaza

I wonder if the Israelis, as a nation, feel like an abused woman? All the years of shelling and rockets are a little like years of spousal abuse. Abuse that is not always very severe but which slowly grinds at the victim.

Eventually the poor woman cracks and murders her husband. And who does the community feel for? The now dead, dearly departed husband? The poor mistreated wife? It seems that in the current conflict the dead husband (Gaza) is getting the world’s sympathy. And rightly so.

And the view from the Gaza(n) side could exactly the same. Except that abuse would be less frequent but much more violent. And in the current circumstances the community would probably feel for the poor black-eyed wife.

I suppose, the real questions is, at what point is the response justified by the history?
